* What is a DENARIO?
DENIER is the unit of measurement of the thickness of the thread used to make stockings and tights.
The lower the DENIER number—8, 10, 15, 20, etc.—the thinner and more transparent the stocking or panty. Conversely, the higher the number—40, 70, etc.—the thicker it is and the less visible skin.
There are also opaque microfiber tights and pantyhose, available in 50 and 100 den, where the skin is barely visible. They are commonly used in the fall and winter months.
Tights and pantyhose with a low DEN are typically used in the spring and summer seasons. Other stockings can be used year-round, such as for formal occasions, as their thinness makes them more elegant.
